We provide opportunities for Hospitality On Demand to come together and make a difference.
Hospitality on Demand is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Earth through the means of recycling household amenities. Working with homeless and animal shelters across New York City, Hospitality on Demand aims to combat climate change.
Animal or Homeless shelters across New York City in need of daily household amenities should contact us through email or phone call. We promise to deliver as soon as possible.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We ask for hospitality suppliers to become involved by donating household amenities.
It began in 2023 when Edward Chan worked on an internship with Inter-Continental Hotel (Barclay). Edward has always remained firm to his values: providing for others. As a result, when Edward noticed so many linen towels being thrown away by the hotel, most of which were insignificant stains, he wondered if they could be delivered to shelters in need of them. He began by collecting linen towels. After gathering a great deal of towels, Edward placed them in bags and delivered them to shelters across New York City at free of cost. Understanding the importance in this work, Edward understood he could create a greater impact by involving others. Edward contacted his good friend, David Gutin, to help build this organization, who also realized the importance of the problem at hand and wanted to help. From this effort, Edward strives to protect the earth and to help others achieve their goals, even though the simplest means, such as providing clean, fresh towels.
In May of 2023, David Gutin joined Hospitality on Demand. David found this idea very interesting and felt the need to help in this project. David has always believed in the power of lending a helping hand and making a positive impact in my community. Recently, David noticed a pressing need for basic necessities, particularly towels, among individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. Inspired by the idea of providing comfort and a sense of dignity, David felt compelled to initiate a towel distribution project. Witnessing how something as simple as a clean, soft towel can make a significant difference in someone's life during difficult times, David realized the profound impact David could have on my community. By giving out towels, David aims to offer practical assistance, promote hygiene, and uplift spirits, allowing individuals to regain a sense of hope and self-worth. David firmly believes that through acts of kindness and generosity, we can foster a stronger, more compassionate community where everyone feels supported and cared for. David has begun to help Edward in the development of this non-profit, delivering towels, and working on websites, and etc..
